If you want to have a web site you will need to have it hosted for you. This will mean that you effectively rent somebody else's disk space which users of the world wide web have access to. Our web sites are hosted on four under-contended unix servers based in data centres in London, Nottingham and Doncaster. Basic business web hosting is renewable at £60 per year for customers.

You can find web hosting cheaper than this but there is usually either the drawback of significantly large down time or the requirement to place adverts on each page.

E-mail addresses associated with our web hosting are complete POP3 accounts and you can use them in the same way as any other e-mail address or point them at your existing e-mail box. If you use Outlook Express or similar program you can access old and new accounts together. Alternatively you can access e-mail via your web browser.

Bandwidth is the amount of data transferred in a month on a domain and includes email and uploading to the site. Additional bandwidth should not be necessary except for the most popular of sites that have large files such as music or video files. 100Mb of web space is more than enough for most web sites - for example this site only takes up 2Mb. However music and video files take up much more space. A four minute track would take up about 2Mb in itself.

Very few people have the infrastructure or technological experience to be able to run a web server and keep it constantly connected to the internet. You need a server in a dedicated environment with power back-ups and serious bandwidth capacities.
We have a range of hosting deals to suit everybody - from a one page bed and breakfast site with a hundred visits a week to multi-national companies or radio stations with tens of thousands of listeners. Whatever your requirements, we have the solution.

All hosting deals apart from Home User include FrontPage 2000 extensions, CGIs, PHP, Real Audio HTTP streaming, unlimited bandwidth (5p per Mbyte), full usage statistics, site control panel, same day set up, unlimited email accounts, POP3, email forwarding and web based email. There is no requirement to place adverts or pop-ups on any sites made on any of the hosting packages.
If clients wish to upgrade to one of our larger hosting accounts they will be given a full pro-rata refund on unused months on the previous hosting account.
